Out of Home Brief

 

 The Challenge

Come up with a unique “out of home” idea to draw attention to a new line of CBD pens. 

The Solution

Leverage horror and family sitcom aesthetics to show how good these CBD pens can be.


After, there is no horror.

By tapping into one of the most viewed movie genres and utilizing some of their most iconic characters, I saw potential for otherwise scary monsters to provide a little comic relief in the CBD industry. There are two images, paying homage to the Brady Bunch opening title card. You will see 3 villain archetypes, as well as 3 humans. Without Dosist (blue image) there are knives. With Dosist (yellow image)  there is laughter. Beyond just nice imagery, I thought this was an excellent opportunity to present a more humorous ad that falls in line with more traditional Marijuana & CBD advertisements, while tapping into a 60s, late 80s and 90s nostalgia.

All monsters have a weakness. Freddy has most of his power when you’re sleeping. Vampires are strongest at night. Jason seems to be afraid of his mother. Legend has it, that if you found yourself running from a nightmare: Freddy, Jason, Chucky, any alien incarnation since the beginning of horror, taxes, water bills, etc… All you’d have to do to escape was find dosist. A dose a day keeps the sequels away.
